My client is a commercial builder based in Melbourne; They have continued growth due to their ability to provide a professional service underpinned by quality craftsmanship and their capacity to maintain strong and long-term relationships. They operate in different market sectors, delivering high-end luxury, retail, and special projects with projects ranging in value from $750k - $5mill.
They are a professional and hardworking team who operates well, and the office vibe is respectful and camaraderie. Their management is genuinely supportive and has an open-door policy, 
The Opportunity
They are now looking to add to their team initially; it will be a hybrid role in both Contracts Administration & Project Management across three projects, including a $3mill fit out of an RSLContract Administration 2 smaller specialist commercial projects. 
About You
To successfully gain this hybrid role ( you will rapidly progress to a full-time Project Manager as you take on more significant projects), your initial workload will give you time to be heavily involved in the administration of the projects.

  • Exceptional communication, verbal & written
  • Minimum 5+ years of contract administration experience
  • Highly organized
  • Strong experience letting packages and negotiating with sub-contractors
  • Maintain & report on the Financial position of the project
  • Strong administration skills
  • Proactive attitude

Position Overview:
Are you ready to take charge of managing a diverse portfolio of client contracts and projects? As the Project Manager - VIC, you will play a pivotal role as the primary interface with clients. Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:
  • Tertiary studies in business or related disciplines.
  • Trade background, though not mandatory, is a plus.
  • Thorough understanding of field service operations.
  • Strong contract management skills for ensuring adherence.
  • Budgeting, quoting, and financial prowess for job and contract management.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Outstanding customer relationship management skills to foster loyalty.
  • Adept in managing contractual complexities with clients.
  • Two to five years of contract management in a similar industry.
  • Two to five years of experience managing budgets and creating quotes.
  • Sales experience, particularly in robust client relationship management.
 Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a portfolio of assigned contracts/projects with a focus on client/contract management.
  • Oversee the successful execution of new contracts and project delivery, collaborating with stakeholders.
  • Proactively monitor and enhance customer satisfaction, providing insights to operations and business development teams.
  • Establish a documented communication matrix with clients to streamline interactions.
  • Provide structured briefs, work orders, and schedules for efficient resource allocation.
  • Develop quotes/estimates for contracts and jobs to meet profitability targets.
  • Collaborate with operational teams to align jobs with client needs.
  • Manage project/job budgets, addressing negative variances and proposing enhancements.
  • Drive projects aimed at organic growth and expanded client scope.
  • Act as the primary client interface for scope and commercial matters.
  • Ensure compliance with both client and company requirements.
  • Monitor contract/client rates, exploring opportunities for increases.
  • Collaborate with finance to ensure prompt invoice payments.
  • Provide performance reports for contracts/projects.
  • Assist Business Development with tender writing and approval.
  • Stay informed about industry advancements for operational efficiency.
  • Promote adherence to processes and drive continuous improvement.
