Our client is seeking a Project Accountant to play an instrumental part in their finance department.

Position Overview:

As a Project Accountant, you'll play a pivotal role within the finance team, contributing to the success of a portfolio in the Billions; you’ll have significant responsibilities for a new project in the hundreds of millions $ of value through meticulous financial management and analysis. You'll collaborate closely with project managers and stakeholders to ensure financial accuracy, compliance, and the implementation of effective cost-control measures.
Key Requirements:

  • Bilingual Skills: Proficiency in both Chinese and English.
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
  • Proven experience in accounting/finance roles within the construction industry.
  • Strong understanding of development/construction accounting principles, project cost management, and financial analysis.
  • Proficiency in financial software and advanced Excel skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong ability to collaborate across teams effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Monitoring: Oversee project budgets, costs, and expenditures, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Prepare regular financial reports, forecasts, and variance analysis to provide insights into project performance and support decision-making processes.
  • Cost Control: Implement and maintain robust procedures, identifying cost-saving opportunities and risk areas to optimise project financial outcomes.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, procurement, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment of financial goals with project objectives.
  • Audit and Compliance: Assist in audits, ensuring adherence to accounting standards, internal controls, and regulatory requirements.
